How We Do It

We continue to build a culture across Sealaska that is rooted in collaborative discussion and collective leadership in order to fulfill our strategic plan and operating goals.

Our operating goals are shaped by our core Native values and achievement of these goals allows us to fulfill our purpose: to strengthen people, culture and homelands.
Opportunity – Enrich the lives of Sealaska shareholders and communities
  • Stable dividends
  • Employment opportunities
  • Educational benefits
  • Sustainable economic development
Prosperity – Use business as a vehicle to provide for a better future
  • Innovation
  • Competitive advantage
  • Business excellence
Sustainability – Honor the relationship with our land and resources
  • Responsible investments
  • Healthy communities
  • Building capacity
  • Green practices
The ultimate goal of Sealaska’s strategic plan is to be self-sustaining with income from our subsidiaries. This will allow Sealaska to use ANCSA Section 7(i) revenue and investment fund income for increased focus on initiatives for people, culture and homelands. We base decisions on our understanding of the past and on our plans to advance both present and future generations.
