We invite you to apply for Sealaska philanthropy funds as we work together to advance our shared mission of empowering our people, culture and homelands. While completed funding requests are not a guarantee, we’d like you to understand how we prioritize funding.

We prioritize funding requests that align with Sealaska’s values and focus areas:

• Our Land (Haa Aaní | Íitl’ Tlagáa | Na Yuubm): Initiatives that promote sustainable use and preservation of lands and oceans and support community economies.
• Our Past, Present, Future (Haa Shuká | Íitl’ Kuníisii | Na Hlagigyadm): Programs protecting cultural heritage, honoring ancestral sites and benefiting communities across generations.
• Our Strength and Leadership (Haa Latseen | Íitl’ Dagwiigáay | Na Yugyetga’nm): Projects enhancing resilience, education, community health and leadership.
• Balance, Reciprocity, Respect (Wooch.Yax | Gu dlúu | Ama Mackshm): Proposals that foster balanced relationships, partnerships and collaboration.

Sealaska supports community organizations and Indigenous-led efforts that demonstrate significant impact in our region. We focus on initiatives related to community development, culture, education, emergency response, environment, events, healing and wellness, language revitalization, professional development and youth engagement.
