Giving is an important part of who we are at Sealaska — both economically and culturally. We support transformative work being done throughout our region and beyond, and demonstrate our commitment to partnerships and our communities through charitable giving. We are proud of these efforts to support our communities generate the greatest positive impacts to our traditional homelands, enriching and protecting the livelihoods, environments and traditions of our shareholders, their descendants, and the communities they call home. Our goal is to align our corporate giving with Sealaska’s strategic priorities and core values.

How we do it

At Sealaska, we believe in investing in our shareholders in ways that are tied to our core values. Donation applications are scored based on their alignment with Sealaska values, potential for community impact, ties to our focus areas, geographic reach and budget efficiency. Applications are reviewed for alignment with Sealaska’s values and focus areas. A higher score indicates a stronger alignment and potential impact.
